Hi! I’m so excited for this new school year!
I am a native Texan. I was born on a military base in Arizona, but I got here as fast as I could!
I graduated from Yorktown High School in 1995, and promptly moved to Minnesota to attend Crown College. After a year in the freezing cold North, I moved back to Texas (Dallas) to attend The Criswell College.
In 1997 I married my husband, Andrew (who is from Northern Iowa). We immediately moved to Guadalajara, MX to attend language school. After that, we joined TIME Ministries as missionaries and served for 4 years in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, building chapels for congregations with no place to meet.
In 2001 We became missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and in 2004 moved to the Philippines where we served for 15 years and raised our three daughters who were 4yrs, 3yrs, and 2 months old when we arrived.
During our time on the field, I covered a variety of roles, including administration, workshop/event organization, teaching and training, Scripture Engagement (Media and Consulting), as well as homeschooling our three daughters.
In 2019 we returned to the US for what we believed would be a 1 year furlough. Then COVID happened, and we were not allowed to return to the field as scheduled in 2020. Due to COVID and the needs of our daughters we made the difficult choice to remain in the US for the foreseeable future.
I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to be a part of your child’s growth and education. Thank you for allowing me to partner with you in your child’s home education
